Job description

Job purpose As our MIG Welder, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will be working with the latest technology and equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Duties and responsibilities: - Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminium, or other metals according to job specifications, TIG welding will be a secondary expectation as needed - Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions - Set up welding equipment, select proper electrodes, wires, and gases - Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces prior to welding - Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and quality - Repair welds and assemblies as needed - Maintain a clean and safe work area - Always follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations - Working with ERP system to complete job travelers - Perform basic equipment maintenance and report malfunctions - Work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals Qualifications: - Proven experience as a welder or schooling - Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures - Ability to re...
