City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Specialties Department at Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk Virginia. Shift: Nights (7p-7a): About the Unit: We are the first in the Sentara System and Second in the State of Virginia to win the PRISM Award (Premiere Recognition in the Specialty of Med-Surg). Our unit is recognized for our collective achievements and contributions to the safe, high-quality care we deliver to our patients on a daily basis. Combined Our Team Members Have 20+ Years Certified as Medical Surgical Nurses. We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes. We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area.
