The Salvation Army Mission Statement: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. BASIC PURPOSE: The Accountant provides direct financial support to units across the Division, assisting with budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and ongoing financial processes. This role strengthens communication between the Finance Department and field units while supporting key accounting functions ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Fiscal year budget preparation: assist units with annual budget preparation and mid-year budget revisions. - Working directly with units on preparing budgets, staffing tables, and necessary calculations of fixed costs. - Work with Assistant Controller and Controller on pulling information for budget analysis - Working with Corps on contract budgets in relation to our overall budget and tracking - Kettle weekly reports for Command Finance Council and Field - Support preparation of financial reports and analysis...
