Job description

Description Basic Function: Plans and performs a range of activities to setup and operate CNC machining equipment. Performs a variety of machining operations, including but not limited to turning, drilling, reaming, boring, counter boring, milling, tapping, threading, and others. Performs machining operations on a variety of materials including but not limited to aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and fiberglass. Writes and edits programs to maintain part specifications. Performs other related or associated duties as assigned or directed. Responsibilities and Duties: - Program, Offset, Set up, adjust, and operate Mazak (Mazatrol) CNC and Fanuc based CNC Mills. - Must be able to run manual mills, lathes and other related equipment - Ability to use all types of inspection instruments to check work per print without supervision - Help solve machining problems related to assigned machine - Read and Interpret prints and inspect parts per the print specifications - Help train and assist new operators - Able to write, read, and edit CNC programs in conversational and G/M code - Maintain a clean, safe and 5S organized work area - Perform preventative maintenance - Observes numerical control...
