Job description

As a General Labourer, you will remove unwanted materials from metal parts, castings, and other products to ensure a smooth surface, preparing parts for paint. These parts are used in the assembly of equipment that is dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 1556 Industrial Road, Cambridge, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday Job Duties: - Read and interpret work orders, following the production schedule to ensure parts are prepared for painting in the order in which they are needed - Clean, sand, and prepare parts for painting, achieving quality standards for parts - Operate metal cleaning equipment, such as scrapers and grinders, to remove excess welds, scale, and other materials from the surface of metal parts, castings, and other metal products - Immerse metal products in cleaning solvents and solutions - Operate lifting devices such as cranes (overhead and/or jib), to transport raw materials and finished metal products - Clean the paint prep and paint booth areas Skills and Experience: - Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands, and manage frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events - Demonstrate...
