Door Host/Security

Job description

The Door Host is required to help keep order, and make sure everyone is safe and has a good time. The Door Hosts provide the initial line of support to the entire venue, and is the greeter of all guests who enter the venue and leave the venue. Our Door Hosts must be energetic, kind and approachable, while interacting with passerby's to welcome and urge them into the venues. Responsibilities are to monitor people by checking I.D.s, check backpacks/purses for unapproved items, monitor levels of intoxication of potential/current patrons, make sure patrons are not acting aggressively or destructively, and to protect staff, property and equipment from damage. Proper cash-handling techniques for cover charge for weekends and/or special events may be required. Requirements: - Greet all patrons, staff, neighbors, etc. Make everyone feel welcome; create and maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere; remove unwelcome guests who cause a disturbance - Check I.D.s and intoxication levels to determine guest entry - Ensure the front of the venue and all exits are cleaned and free of debris, obstacles and people to provide both cleanliness and safety (In colder months, remove snow and salt pathways t...
