Overview POSITION PURPOSE: Assists the Transportation Operations Manager with planning, directing, and controlling activities associated with safely, efficiently, and promptly transporting students. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) - Knowledge of the proper care and operation of a school bus and safe driving skills; - Knowledge of specific rules and regulations governing the operation of a school bus; - Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Word; Google Apps; - Excellent customer service skills; - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; - Ability to read, interpret, and convey to others documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; - Ability to understand and comply with the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Code of Ethics; - Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments; - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school s...
