Job description

What You'll Be Doing Job Scope: Generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs and/or estimating projects. Work will be performed under minimal supervision. Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responsible for bid administration in preparing full estimates on complex work. Research construction documents and analyze specifications. Perform take-off of all steel and buyout items as required and/or obtain quotes on items that are bought out. Communicate with customer, vendors, erectors, engineers, architects and salesmen to ensure the design intent is understood and bid requirements are followed. Prepare a complete estimated price with a comprehensive description of all included and excluded items. Obtain review and approval of estimates prior to submitting and route the estimates to the applicable parties once the bid has been submitted. Perform time studies, change order estimates, and assist in sub-out fabrication as needed. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
