The Opportunity RS&H is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to serve as a technical leader in our Transportation Group in either Charleston or Columbia, South Carolina. About the Role: As a Senior Roadway Engineer, you will take on a key role providing high-level technical expertise for roadway and highway design projects across South Carolina. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about design excellence and wants to focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions without the distractions of project management. Key Responsibilities: - Lead roadway and highway design efforts, including geometric design, alignments, typical sections, roadside safety, and maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans. - Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance on design standards, innovative solutions, and best practices. - Perform quality control reviews and ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and adherence to SCDOT and regulatory requirements. - Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical coaching and design review to build team capabilities. - Coordinate closely with multidiscipline teams, including drainage, traffic,...
