Personal Financial Counselor (Military & Family Support)

GD Resources LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Personal Financial Counselor to provide comprehensive financial counseling and education services to military service members, veterans, and their families in the state of Oregon. This role supports the Service Member and Family Support (SMFS) Program and plays a critical role in improving financial readiness and resilience across the military community. Key Responsibilities: Financial Counseling & Client Support: - Deliver one-on-one financial counseling to service members (Active, Reserve, National Guard), retirees, and their families - Develop personalized budgets, financial plans, and debt reduction strategies - Educate clients on credit management, interest rates, and responsible financial practices - Provide guidance on military-specific financial topics such as BRS, TSP, SGLI, and VA home loans - Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with all privacy regulations - Conduct follow-ups within 48 hours for high-risk or urgent referrals Outreach & Education: - Conduct monthly outreach meetings with at least three community organizations - Deliver financial education presentations (up to 24 annually) at military and co...
