Job Summary The Strategic Purchaser is an individual contributor role responsible for supplier evaluation, qualification, and management, cost reduction, sourcing, supply risk management, spend analytics, ERP/MRP utilization, and troubleshooting. This position will work closely with the Suppliers, tactical Buyers, Engineers, and Finance to provide an efficient and cost-effective supply chain, requiring a well-rounded understanding of our products, production, processes, and supply base capabilities. Responsibilities: - Resolves vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. - Develops KPIs of quality and delivery performance of assigned commodities and suppliers. - Conducts cost analysis and negotiations for the pricing of purchased items. - Leads efforts related to cost savings & MCV (Material Cost Variance) targets to support corporate targets. - Develops supplier contracts for assigned commodities. - Performs risk management activities of assigned commodities. - Leads quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers of assigned market supply segment. - Collaborates with Global Purchasing of assigned market supply segments to leverage global spend and supplier t...
