The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project. Modular Engineer Altrad Hinkley Point C Sizewell C (SZC) MEHA Opportunity Team is investigating the feasibility and benefits of moving c70% of SZC site welds off-site, compared to the number completed on-site at Hinkley Point C (HPC). The aim is to deliver significant cost and time savings and risk reduction during installation on site. This role will analyse the SZC Detailed Design on a room-by-room basis, within a set of criteria, to identify and record methods by which the Project can reduce the reliance of on-site pipe welding. The bulk of the work will be identifying pipework that could be prefabricated into sub-assemblies (Modules). If the opportunity is successful, the role will then transition into technical delivery of the work scope when it is integrated into MEHA scope of delivery.
