Job description
The Nurse Manager of Occupational Health is responsible for overseeing the hospital’s Employee Health/Occupational Health program in direct collaboration with the Occupational Health and Wellness Medical Director. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all hospital employees and employer clients. The Nurse Manager provides clinical oversight and leadership, manages staff, develops policies, and collaborates with leadership to regarding various work-related and employee issues, including workplace injuries and exposures. Clinical Responsibilities and Oversight: - Oversee and perform pre-employment health screenings, immunizations, urine drug screen collections, blood collection and mask fit testing - Manage work-related injuries and illness cases - Coordinate post-exposure evaluations (e.g., bloodborne pathogens) - Review and clear employees for return to work - Collaborate with Infection Prevention and Safety teams - Serve as the Medical Review Officer Assistant - For Nurse Practitioners – ability to receive certification as a certified Medical Examiner for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administ...
