Overview: Position drives Process Safety performance and alignment with Chevron’s Operational Excellence (OE) standards and regulatory requirements at the Pasadena Refinery. The Process Safety Lead Specialist leads, coordinates, and/or actively engages with key Process Safety programs (such as Management of Change, Process Safety Information, Facility Siting, PHA/LOPA, Safeguard Assurance, Incident Investigation, Technical Codes & Standards, etc.), while supporting and enhancing OE culture. Organizationally, the Process Safety Lead Specialist reports to the Process Safety Manager within HSE as an individual contributor but holds significant influence. The Process Safety Lead Specialist works closely with Technical Safety, HSE, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other technical departments, and regularly interfaces with PSM personnel from other assets as well as segment and enterprise level.
