Field Geologist

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct geological field investigations, including mapping, sampling, and logging. - Analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and geophysical data - Prepare technical reports, maps, and cross-sections - Support mineral, energy, or environmental exploration projects - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements - Perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging. - Demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure. - Communicate with members of the team on project progress and issues that arise. REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: - Possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude. - Ability to deal with ambiguity, pressure and a variety of field conditions. - Experience with data analysis and technical reporting. - Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
