Description The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and data-driven cost estimates. The Estimator will support the Operations, Repair, and Maintenance divisions of Takkion. This is a hands-on position accountable for developing and executing plans that will enable the company to achieve its sales goal. Estimating & Cost Analysis: - Review proposals, technical specifications, scope documents, and customer requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates. - Partner with Operations Leaders to determine labor hours, shop flow requirements, and resource allocation. - Analyze labor, materials, tooling, overhead, and schedule impacts to build comprehensive estimates. - Utilize P&L data and historical job performance metrics to validate pricing assumptions and margin targets. - Develop cost models specific to remanufacturing workflows (tear-down, inspection, repair, rebuild, QA, packaging). Vendor Coordination: - Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors. - Align vendor payment terms, warranty coverage, and service conditions with proposal terms. - Negotiate pricing, quality standards, and volume agreements with suppliers. - Maintain and update a market pricing dat...
