Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an experienced senior Storage Database Lead Engineer to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in conceptual thinking and analytical skills to analyze complex problems for resolutions that include interrelationships and dependencies to identify common themes and solutions. Responsibilities: **Position is Contingent on Contract Award** - Implement and optimize the computerized database systems that support the customer infrastructure. - Implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. - Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases. - Review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery and make recommendation regarding enhancements and/or improvements. - Maintain security and integrity controls. - Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.
