POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides leadership and supervision of the operational activities within the Pharmacy Department. The Pharmacy Supervisor supports and oversees the frontline Pharmacy Technicians and Support staff in the day-to-day functions and addresses any issues related to medication procurement, preparation, dispensing, delivery, sterile and non-sterile compounding, BPMH and pharmacy automation. In collaboration with the pharmacy managers, ensures that the services provided by the department are based on regulatory requirements, best practices and in alignment with the hospital's strategic plan. QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Community College Diploma Program in a related field required. Undergraduate degree preferred - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists - Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisor role is preferred - Minimum of 5 years experience as Pharmacy Technician including sterile and non-sterile compounding and experience working with Pharmacy automation - Extensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy drug distribution processes including procurement, sterile and non-sterile compounding, pharmacy automation, OCP and Acc...
