Description Overview: This individual is responsible for providing direct professional development and support for new educators to Franklin Academy as well as educators new to the field of education. Employment Schedule: 10-months, Full-Time: Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following: Full-time Mentor Teachers are eligible for the following benefits and compensation: - The primary role of the Mentor Teacher is in leading the school’s new educator instructional training efforts by providing training, support, and professional development for building teacher capacity to improve student achievement. - The Mentor Teacher is a certified, highly qualified teacher who exhibits leadership skills and has an expertise in data analysis in order to improve instructional strategies, classroom management, and student development for the successful growth of all teachers and students. - The Mentor Teacher will provide specific support to teachers in effective instructional strategies and classroom management practices, and use research-based resources to support the mentoring process. - The Mentor Teacher will work with t...
