Maintenance Fabrication Technician

Job description

The Maintenance Fabrication Technician works with other Facilities, Maintenance and Engineering team members to rig/install equipment, design/fabricate parts, and specify/select materials for fabrication/installation. This role is critical in managing and executing parts fabrication and repairs in an efficient manner. Job Duties: - Analyzing specification charts, samples, and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements. - Measuring and marking materials to develop a layout / template to manufacture parts. - Develops/executes a plan for equipment installation and communicates impacts to operations. - Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the parts rebuild /modification or repairs. - Participating in root cause analysis of failed parts together with other personnel on site - Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of consumables, parts and tools needed to fully operate workshop. - Operating and servicing maintenance shop equipment, keep up to date maintenance logs, inspections, and other information. - Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects - Maintain equipment in the Maintenance Shop. - Design machine part replacements and recommend design improve...
