Trades Assistant - SCUH

Job description

The Trades Assistant is responsible for working across a single site to fulfil the ongoing general maintenance needs of our workplace, including preventative maintenance, services and minor repairs of our equipment, plant and buildings. You will also have the opportunity to assist our experienced technicians with major repairs where appropriate and to build on your existing skills. We require someone with the right attitude, flexibility, able to work within a team and to contribute to all areas of the business when needed. The trades assistant shifts are Monday to Friday alternating one week of days 6:00 am - 2:00 pm and one week of afternoons 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm with one Saturday a month. What You’ll Do (key responsibilities): This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Manage Downer (EH) assets, conducting daily checks and maintenance (General Maintenance). Communicate with maintenance staff for repairs for various equipment / asset types.
