Description The Shade Room Clerk is responsible for inspecting and sorting finished fabric to ensure color shade consistency and compliance with customer specifications. This position plays a critical role in maintaining fabric quality prior to cutting, shipment, or further processing. Responsibilities: - Inspect finished fabric for shade consistency using approved shade room lighting - Compare fabric against approved shade standards, lab dips, and master samples - Identify, separate, and label fabric by shade, lot, and roll number - Flag off-shade or non-conforming fabric and report findings to supervision - Record inspection results accurately in logs or electronic systems - Work closely with dye house, finishing, and quality teams to resolve shade issues - Ensure proper handling and storage of inspected fabric rolls - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shade room area - Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Experience in fabric inspection, textile quality, or dyeing/finishing is a plus - Strong color discrimination and attention to detail - Ability to follow color standards and inspec...
