Job description
Join the OMC team as a Geo-Tech (Sampler) on our geology team. Duties and Responsibilities: · Work closely and coordinate work schedule with drilling and blasting · Identify which drillholes require sampling from the drill pattern including those needing duplicate samples used for quality control. · Create sample tags to match blast hole ID’s. · Label blast holes. · Collect blast hole cuttings samples (including duplicates) in accordance with SOP. · Submit and maintain sample delivery paperwork. · Organize and deliver samples to the assay lab for analysis. · Monitor all sampling supplies and submit orders to supervisor prior to depletion. · Ensure on-site lab is maintaining blasthole pulp inventory. · Assist mine surveyors and assay lab technicians as needed. · Organize and maintain drill campaign samples Skills/Qualifications: · Able to operate light vehicle.
