D EPARTMENT: Library CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Assistant Librarian: TIMEBASE/POSITION TYPE: Temporary, Part-time: APPROXIMATE STARTING DATE: Spring 2026: DEPARTMENT SUMMARY : The Cal Poly Maritime Academy Library invites applications for a pool of part-time librarians as needed. Responsibilities may include any combination of the following: - Supporting library instruction and teaching library workshops. - Providing reference services through varied modalities – in person, email, chat, and Zoom - Representing the library at campus-wide outreach events - Creating and updating online resources, including webpages, guides, and tutorials PLEASE NOTE: Review of applications will begin immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
