Category Manager (Materials and Components)

Job description

Overview & Responsibilities Purpose: Lead the development of global and/or local strategic sourcing strategies for the assigned category and the associated commodities that fall within that category. Categories will contain a large spend level across a diverse set of commodities. Work with the supply chain team and other functional groups (e.g. sales, engineering, projects, etc.) to identify spend forecasts, assess current suppliers, identify needs for new suppliers. Develop sourcing strategies accordingly and negotiate global and/or local strategic contracts with suppliers in each commodity. Background and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, master's degree in business or finance is preferred. Minimum of 10 years buying experience Must have excellent general background in all phases of procurement and strong financial/commercial acumen. Must have excellent knowledge of Elliott and Ebara purchasing policies and procedures. Must have a minimum of 5 years of management experience and be a proven leader.
