Avionics Manufacturing Engineer (Batteries) Department: Manufacturing: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Redondo Beach: Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 / year Description: As a Manufacturing Engineer at Impulse, you will own the manufacturing of batteries across our Mira and Helios vehicles. Your work will power our spacecraft and customer payloads. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability and performance of the systems we send into orbit and beyond. Leveling will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: - Lead the development and implementation of battery manufacturing lines across our vehicles. - Define the manufacturing process flow of battery packs and scale-up of battery pack production rate. - Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability, review drawings and provide DFM/DFA feedback on battery packs. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality and reliability. - Perform capacity planning for battery manufacturing and own schedule for battery production. - Provide day-to-day support for the production floor, resolving build issues, updating work instructions, and improving yields. - Provide guidance to technicians during the...
