Job description

Description PURPOSE: Directs and plans the purchasing and procurement of materials, parts and equipment. Plan, implement, and coordinate production and material processes to enable the efficient initiation, production and timely shipments of product that conforms to company requirements and customer expectations. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Coordinates all activities related to procurement commodity and following up with intent to purchase through the delivery process - Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier and date commodity needed for production utilization - Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs - Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company - Maintains a timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records - Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required. - MRP Systems – the process of ensuring materials and products are available for production and delivery to cus...
