Position Summary... We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist to join the Decision Sciences team at Walmart, supporting US Store Operations. In this role, you will lead advanced analytics, experimentation, and measurement efforts that enable data-driven decisions across store operations initiatives. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to define success metrics, evaluate impact, and generate insights that improve operational outcomes. A key part of this role is supporting and enhancing the experimentation and measurement platform developed by the team, with a focus on automation, scale, and usability. The ideal candidate combines strong statistical and machine learning expertise with business acumen, platform thinking, and the ability to influence across functions. This role also requires going beyond experiment readouts by conducting deep dives that help the business understand the true impact of initiatives, what drove value, what did not, and what actions should be taken next.
