Job Summary: We are looking for a Hot Inspector to perform inspection of hot in-process forgings to ensure the forging procedure is being followed correctly. Job Requirements: - Inspect hot forgings for fill and any visible defects including metal flow defects. - Inspect down-size (die closure) as per the AQS plan. - Verify the surface finish, stock location and grain direction. - Use various measurement instruments to verify the dimensions of forged parts. - Compare inspection data with the required tolerances based on blueprints, travelers, and any accompanying documents. - Actively communicate with quality control personnel, press leads, and press operators to ensure quality forgings. - Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement. - Participate in LEAN m...
