Overview Are you a new or soon to be Registered Nurse with a desire to improve the well-being of Vermont's most vulnerable populations? The State of Vermont is currently hiring entry-level Registered Nurses within our Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital in Berlin! This position is a great opportunity for new or soon to be Registered Nurses who would like to develop a specialty in behavioral health. Additional mentoring and oversight will be given in the course of your daily work. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessment, evaluation, and coordination of care and services to individuals experiencing psychiatric illnesses. Care and treatment may involve individuals with a variety of physical, emotional, mental and/or psychiatric disabilities. The Registered Nurse will also be responsible for developing individualized nursing care plans, administering prescribed treatments and medications, and collaboration with community health services and families. **This position is eligible for full retirement after 20 years of service in eligible positions in recognition of the challenges of front-line mental health work.
