Job description

Overview: Serves as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) and participates in ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job (OJT) training. Core Training responsibilities include participation in classroom training, observations of departmental presentations, interaction with senior management, peer networking, and working in teams on two group project assignments. OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. The position may be responsible for additional projects as assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager-MDP. Department Overview: Support the first line of defense risk management function by assisting with the identification and assessment of risks, risk monitoring and testing, and issues management. Department Responsibilities: Assist with the identification and assessment of risks through the completion of process maps and the identification of internal controls for key business processes. Perform control testing in accordance with M&T's First Line of Defense Guidance on Management of Risks & Internal Controls and professional standards.
