Job description
As an assistant manager, you will work flexibly between both Gryphon and Art’s, providing operational support and leadership at each location as needed. You will supervise baristas and work-study students, communicating clearly to maintain a high standard of store operations. You will also assist in training, customer service, product knowledge, and education, while maintaining safe work practices. You will also reinforce successful performance and provide constructive, respectful, and encouraging feedback as needed. Responsibilities include the maintenance of a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment and the estimation of food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases. Among other duties, you will review financial transactions and monitor budgets to ensure efficient operations and that expenditures stay within budget limitations. In this role, you will assist the store manager in maintaining a positive environment that delivers fast, efficient, and friendly service to customers and co-workers.
