Job Summary: The Rollins' Hume House Child Development & Student Research Center (CDC) is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join their team In addition to upholding all program and philosophical foundations of the Child Development & Student Research Center (CDC), Assistant Teachers support classroom operations and assist in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming for children ages 2-5. This role involves direct supervision of children, assistance with curriculum implementation and ongoing observations, and support of undergraduate students. Daily Operations & Classroom Support: - Contribute to the daily maintenance, cleanup, and routine care of the children and the center - Assist in setting up an inclusive learning environment for children and undergraduate students - Assist in planning and developing curricular activities each week in concert with teacher assistant - Assist in posting weekly curriculum in classroom and weekly newsletter for parents - Provide for children’s needs in toileting, project work, problem solving situations, and general play - Attend all teacher meetings and required training during the school year - Complete 20 hours of in-servic...
