Position Function: The Michael W. Hall School of Mechanical Engineering in the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University invites applicants for 1 tenure-track/tenured position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor. Successful candidates will be expected to develop internationally recognized, externally funded research programs in areas including, but not limited to: AI-driven control systems for robotic and mechatronic applications (e.g. digital twin, large language model- LLM, and graph neural network- GNN), machine learning approaches for predictive maintenance and fault detection, AI-based adaptive control in complex mechanical systems, data-driven modeling and control of dynamical systems, AI-enhanced model predictive control for industrial applications, applied AI research for resilience manufacturing. Salary Grade : UC: For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
