Sr. Applications Engineer ( Job Number: 341513 ) Description Description - External: Develops and applies advanced mechanical engineering design methods and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex technical problems. Leads customer application related evaluations and problem solving efforts, including new customer installations. Plans, conducts, technically directs and evaluates projects or major phases of significant projects, and as needed coordinates the efforts of technical support staff. Analyzes, evaluates and plans method of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems, and has the capability to conduct or lead tests. Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Director, Engineering Technology. The person in this role will interface with all internal departments, especially Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Sales.
