Description LOCATION: Juvenile Detention Facility - Detroit, MI 48211 POSITION SUMMARY: SEMHA is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide part-time psychiatric care to detained youth at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility (JDF). This role focuses on psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and crisis intervention, while supporting a multidisciplinary care team. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact on youth by delivering trauma-informed, patient-centered behavioral health services. QUALIFICATIONS: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations and establish DSM-5 diagnoses - Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor effectiveness and side effects - Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans - Respond to behavioral health crises, including suicide risk assessments and interventions - Collaborate with clinical, medical, and facility staff to ensure coordinated care - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR - Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning - Provide clinical oversight to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants - Support staff training on behavi...
