Job description

The Sr. Clinician Occupational Therapy assesses, plans, organizes and participates in the rehabilitative program for developmentally, mentally, emotionally and physically disabled people. The primary function is to assist in restoring and improving the patients ability to live an independent and fulfilling lifestyle by teaching activities of daily living (ADL) and work skills. Mentors less experienced rehabilitation staff. 1.Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems. 2.Tests and evaluates patients' physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients. 3.Develops and participates in health promotion programs, group activities, or discussions to promote client health, facilitate social adjustment, alleviate stress, and prevent physical or mental disability. 4.Consults with rehabilitation team to select activity programs and coordinates occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities (Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Therapeutic Recreation). 5.Plans, implements and coordinates social a...
