Doors & Mechanisms Design Engineer - Technical Specialist I in GAC Savannah Unique Skills: Combined engineering team of Doors & Mechanisms and Crew & Equipment, covering all Gulfstream programs including current large cabin aircraft (G400/G500/G600/G700/G800), special missions, and new product development. This position is focused on Doors & Mechanisms but candidate will have opportunities across disciplines and programs. Doors includes all Door systems on the aircraft (main entry, overwing emergency exits, landing gear, baggage, service, acoustic, egress hatch), related components (controllers, actuators, dampers, reels, latches, handles, seals), and related procedures. Range of duties includes door structure & mechanism design, test/rigging procedure definition, supplier coordination for LRUs qualification & reliability, on-wing investigations, and flight test & aircraft certification support.
