Diesel Mechanic Assistant

Job description

Performs all non-safety critical functions of school bus repair, assists mechanics as necessary. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours first shift Payrate: $20/hr: Major Responsibilities: - Perform servicing tasks cleaning of filters. - Replaces bulbs. - Lubricates equipment. - Removes wheels and tires. - Changes fluids in buses. - Any other maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor. - Repairs floors , seat backs, and coverings - Replace mirrors and some exterior panels - Add and remove decals Minimum Education or Certifications Required: - High School degree or equivalent Minimum Experience or Skills Required: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Possess a small set of hand tools, increasing as training progresses - Ability to learn and perfect maintenance skills Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: - Maintenance Shop environment - Physical ability to work in the trade - Ability to lift up to 65 pounds Disclaimer: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
