Department: UHC: Peds - FMO - Allergy/Pulmonary Job Summary: Coordinator-RN Peds works under the supervision of the Senior Nurse Manager and Clinic Supervisor. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the Pediatric Allergy/Pulmonary, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and Cardiology, General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric and Adult Medicine patient population on an ongoing basis. Integrates RN nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) and management (planning, organizing, directing and controlling) to provide services and continuity of care for the patient. Utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics in order to perform duties within the RN Scope of Practice. Has authority and accountability for coordinating pre-admission and post hospital care. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. Experience in clinical research preferred.
