Position Title: Director of Sports Medicine Department: Intercollegiate Athletics: Reports To: VP for Intercollegiate Athletics Appointment: Full-time, 40 hours per week (12-month position) Status: Exempt: The Department of Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional for the position of Director of Sports Medicine. This full-time, twelve-month position will coordinate medical care and comprehensive athletic training services and coverage primarily for the following sport program: Men’s Basketball and other duties as assigned; perform administrative duties as assigned; maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments, formulate effective therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation plans; make referrals to interact regularly with team physicians, coaching, and administrative staff. A Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree preferred. NATA/BOC certification and current CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required and candidates must be eligible for an Illinois state license.
