TEACHER EDUCATION PLACEMENT COORDINATOR Grade 12: VSC UP –PAT Bargaining Unit Exempt BASIC FUNCTION: The Teacher Education Placement Coordinator serves as the liaison between schools, cooperating teachers, and students. The Placement coordinator finds placements for practicum students and student teachers, and processes and maintains documentation about placements. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Liaison with school administrators, cooperating teachers, and students to confirm practicum and student teaching experiences. ● Establish student-facing and school-facing protocols for completing background checks and confirm placements. ● Update and maintain spreadsheets with updates on student placements. ● Update and maintain documentation for licensure files. ● Maintain a spreadsheet with contact and other information about our history working with schools, principals, and cooperating teachers. ● Develop and maintain a placement coordination handbook of procedures and policies. ● Communicate reliably and regularly with students, Licensure Office Coordinator, Licensure Officer, and Program Directors about placement coordination. ● Troubleshoot with students, schools, and fac...
