The glass technician II fabricates ultra-high purity glass preforms for optical fibers by preparing raw materials, melting and casting glass, and etching/polishing glass preforms. The technician works under the direction of the glass fabrication manufacturing engineering supervisor on production work, process improvement projects, and R&D.
