Senior Quality Engineer

Job description

Responsibilities: - Interpret and apply customer specifications, including aerospace/defense standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, Boeing D6 XXX requirements if applicable) - Focus on using statistics and data analysis techniques to improve processes. - Lead complex investigations using structured problem solving tools (8D, A3, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Why). - Own Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) from initiation through verification of effectiveness - Drive proactive quality initiatives, including PFMEA, control plans, risk mitigation, and process robustness improvements. - Set up product and process inspections to determine sample sizes to include but no limited to writing procedures that include selection of the correct measuring tools. - Understand and analyze complex problems and derive solutions. - Effectively communicate technical issues, solutions, ideas, and concepts to a diverse audience including Program Managers, Customers, and Executive Management. - Determine material review board dispositions for product nonconformances. - Lead and participate in nonconformance investigations to analyze and determine root cause, define corrective actions, and ensure corrective action i...
