Job Description Summary 5+ years’ experience in emergency room preferred; must have experience with EKG, Phlebotomy, and telemetry. High School diploma or GED. Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and ability to make accurate physical observation of patients. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Basic computer skills required. Within three months of hire date, must successfully pass the on-line course modules, phlebotomy training and skills validation for basic and advanced skills, TACT training, and EKG training. Passing requires achieving an 80% passing rate on each test in two attempts or will result in separation from employment. Maintain MUSC Hazmat and TACT trainings. Successful completion of the Emergency Department Technician unit specific training and competency demonstration is required within the first six months of employment or will result in separation of employment.
