SPED Teacher Position Summary: This position is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating appropriated individualized educational services, learning programs, and instruction for special needs students in an inclusive (mainstreamed) setting in consultation with general education teachers. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist special education students in their education, emotional, social, and behavioral needs Maintain regular communication with parents by means of email, phone calls, conferences, and progress reports Collaborate with other Heritage Academy campuses Manage all Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and 504 plans Facilitate all special education meetings – Review of Existing Data (RED), Multidisciplinary (MET), Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and 504 plans Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments Collaborate with general education teachers regarding the educational, social, emotional, and physical needs and objectives of each student Collaborate with general education teachers to design appropriate teaching strategies Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify instructional materials...
