Production Associate

Job description

We are hiring production positions at our lumber mill located in Bogalusa, LA . We are seeking high performing and motivated team players to join our team and grow with us. The positions are entry level positions that have opportunities for advancement. The primary purpose of a production associate is being responsible for cleaning designated areas in the production areas of lumber, bark, and sawdust using a variety of hand and mechanical tools/equipment safely and efficiently, assuring smooth and efficient machinery operation as well as providing for a safe workplace. Key Responsibilities: - Commitment to working safely and following safety rules/procedures, and environmental guidelines. - Cross-train on production equipment. - Load or unload materials and products from machines. - Monitor machines to ensure continued movement of lumber and materials throughout the mill. - Perform cleanup activities throughout the mill. - Use an assortment of hand tools to complete daily clean-up duties such as air hoses, shovels, brooms, blower, wheel barrel, etc. - Performs other duties as assigned.
