Data Center Technician - DCS

Job description

General Function: Perform Data Center Technician duties per documented processes and procedures. This includes a working knowledge of customer hardware with ability to interact, troubleshoot issues and work independently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot all aspects of server hardware and related storage products. - Repair, upgrade and downgrade servers. - Monitor and maintain all in-rack devices (e.g. servers, network devices, storage, PDU, UPS, etc.). - Coordinate hardware warranty replacement with vendors. - Escalate tickets as needed and collaborate with teammates to resolve issues. - Maintain data center component inventory. - Provide assistance to all operations personnel to ensure that the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained. - Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. - Strong experience in troubleshooting/fault isolation. - Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail. - Due to the 24x7 operations of the business, must be able to work a flexible work schedule, may include nights and weekends. - Intermediate understanding of netw...
