Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: About the Department The Main OR PreOp/PACU at Trinity Oakland (Pontiac) is a 39-bay (22 PreOp, 17 PACU) department at Trinity Health Oaklan Level 2 Trauma Center, with 15 operating rooms that average 35 cases/day. Our mission is to provide the highest-quality care to every patient who requires a surgical intervention; both during preparation for surgery and recovery from anesthesia. We care for both inpatients and outpatients for the following types of elective/urgent/emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular; as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Our nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. We have the distinction of being a Certified Joint Center of Excellence as well as a Robotic Center of Excellence. SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe.
