What You’ll Do As Respite Worker, you will provide short-term relief to caregivers who are responsible for the primary care and support of individuals with developmental disabilities, participants (of all ages) receiving respite services through Easterseals NY- Rochester Recreation Respite waiver program. You will be responsible for the primary care, supervision and support of individuals within their own home. In addition, you will be responsible for recreational respite, e.g. - responsible for primary care, supervision and support of individuals during social and recreational activities within the community. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing protective oversight for assigned individual. - Providing assistance with personal care if applicable and as needed, as well as providing reminders and simple assistance for activities such as eating. - Following service plan designed by the care coordination team. - Encouraging individual toward self-reliance. - Understanding and respecting the confidentiality of the individual and family. - Accepting responsibility for compliance with all policies, procedures and service requirements of Easterseals and the Respite programs - C...
